Whether you’re throwing a birthday bash or bachelorette party, sometimes the best people to look to for party-throwing inspiration are the rich and the famous.

While we may not be able to hand over the wads of cash these celebs threw at their own bashes, we can certainly admire from afar (and think up our own budget-friendly versions!).

Julianne Hough’s bachelorette party was one for the ages. She and her crew traveled to Cabo San Lucas for a beach-themed bachelorette weekend. Chrissy Teigen told Cosmo that her bachelorette party had a “no penis” policy and that instead of opting for crazy bachelorette antics, she and her gal pals just relaxed on the beach in Mexico, complete with a tequila/ceviche tasting.

For her last hoorah before marrying Kanye West, Kim Kardashian traveled to the City of Love with her closest friends. The crew visited the Eiffel Tower and took a walk outside the Louvre before jetting off to Florence, Italy for a few days.

Justin Timberlake threw Jessica Biel the most goal-worthy 35th birthday party known to woman. His hopes were to “Make America Skate Again!” — and we think he succeeded. Justin and Jessica wore matching patriotic T-shirts complete with retro accessories like bellbottoms, calf-high socks and rolled-up shorts.

Take Kim Kardashian West’s birthday party, for example. Husband Kanye rented out a theater for a Steve Jobs showing and gave each guest their own fake baby bump. “Not sure if that was to make me feel less huge or just a fun cool theme,” Kim pondered, “but I loved it & had the best time ever.”

Newlyweds Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson threw not one, not two, but three wedding celebrations last year. The couple’s first secret wedding was held in Arizona in June and their second ceremony was in Mexico in late October. Then on New Year’s Eve they rang in 2017 with a final (?) kickass 1920s themed party.

For Britney Spears’ sons Sean Preston and Jayden James’ joint birthday party, Britney organized the ultimate Pokémon theme, complete with tons of treats and a giant poolside balloons.

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren threw their daughter Haven an epic watermelon themed pool party, making our inner 5-year-old selves quite jealous indeed. The party featured everything watermelon from fruit-shaped balloons, cupcakes and other goodies from Sunnylife.
