Lauren Conrad and husband William Tell welcomed their first child, son Liam, in July, and the new mom officially shared the first social media shot of her baby boy on Tuesday, captioning the snap with some inspirational words.
In the snap, baby Liam lays wrapped in a white blanket as he holds his tiny hands up. The 31-year-old designer accompanied the snap with an inspirational quote and some of her own words as well.

“‘Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.’ ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.,” Conrad wrote, adding, “I hope that we can all learn to love each other a little more so that our children can live in a world with less hate and more acceptance and understanding.”
While Conrad didn’t explicitly mention why she chose to post King’s quote, her photo came soon after President Trump made headlines Monday after a press conference in which he defended white supremacists after an alt-right rally in Charlottesville turned violent over the weekend.
