Julie Bowen from Modern Family is showing us there is hope for love - even in the midst of this Brangelina chaos. Although she attended the Emmy's solo this year, it was for a pretty understandable reason.

Last week, Bowen celebrated being nominated for four Emmy awards and her 12 year wedding anniversay to her husband Scott Phillips.

In an interview with PEOPLE, "We just had our anniversary on the day of the Emmys which was hilarious," says Bowen.

As to why he bailed on this year's award show, Bowen was doing her honey a favor so he could enjoy himself while she went to the Emmys. "He's come every year, he's been so supportive and this year he was playing in a tennis tournament and I wasn't nominated as an individual so I said, 'What do you want to do on our anniversary?' I mean it's such an honor to be nominated and to go, but it's tough to be a purse holder."

The poor guy has probably been dragged along to multiple Emmy events with his wife since the wildly popular comedy show is usually there every year, so needless to say, he probably thought he wasn't going to miss anything.

The actress talked about how they support each other on and off the red carpet. "Honestly I only remember up until we had the kids," she said about having children. "Then you're like, 'What?' Twelve years. We've had children for nine. So I remember the first three years, the rest of it is like a blackout."
