'The Hills' Star and Mother of Three Kristin Cavallari Admits That Watching Old Episodes Is 'Brutal'

MTV's The Hills turns ten this year and star Kristin Cavallari told ET that she is still not ready to watch it! A lot has changed for this mother of three since the finale and she said that time has brought her a sense of clarity about her time on the show.
"I didn't realize at the time that it's essentially this soap opera," Cavallari said. "It was a fun job, but it was essentially a job. They put me I situations that they would know how I would react, and that's what I did."
Cavallari said that in the ten years since the show started, she has not sat down and watched it, though she can look back on the times and laugh! One day, however, she did come home to find her husband, Jay Cutler, watching an episode.
"[It's] kind of brutal for me to sit through," she admitted.
She knows that it was a very different time in her life and readily admitted that she was "so obnoxious." Now, the mother of three lives a very different life. She has started her own jewelry line and released a memoir, Balancing in Heels: My Journey to Health, Happiness, and Making it all Work.

At home with her family, Cavallari admitted to having to play a bit of good cop, bad cop with her husband to keep their children (all under four years old) in line. She also said that the family has been approached a few times about starring in a reality show about their life, but has turned down the offers.
"We want our kids to live as normal a life as possible," she said.
