Right before Kelsea Ballerini attended her first-ever Grammy Awards on Sunday night, she spoke with E! News about how her wedding planning was going. Her answer: “It’s nonexistent.”
Ballerini got engaged to country singer Morgan Evans this past Christmas. The couple is over-the-moon in love with each other and it definitely shows.

On Dec. 25, 2016, Kelsea shared a photo that revealed she said yes to a very important question. “This morning, 9 months and 13 days later, he got down on one knee in the kitchen while I was burning pancakes and asked me to marry him. Loving him has been the greatest gift of my life. And now I get to do it for life. #HECALLEDDIBS”
While walking the red carpet at the 2017 Grammy Awards, Ballerini spoke about why her wedding planning has been put on hold.
“It’s nonexistent so far because Grammys had to come first,” she admitted. “I haven’t started planning a wedding yet but it will happen.” Very valid reason!
She did reveal the couple plans on getting married later this year.

The couple has already checked off two really important things on the pre-wedding list. First, they are officially engaged. Can we talk about that gorgeous ring?!

Second on the list is they are truly in love. Kelsea shared a photo of the two writing, “I feel like a kid that has my first crush every time I’m around him. And I get to marry him. WIN.”

Ballerini and her “really hot Australian” man may have a difficult time picking their wedding location. She was born in Tennessee and he in Australia, two wonderful places. Maybe they will do a reception in both? But we have a feeling there will definitely be a party of some sorts in Nashville, the land of country music.
