Simpson, who is also mom to Maxwell Drew, 4, with husband Eric Johnson, shared some photos from the day on Instagram, giving fans a peek at the prehistoric party.
In the first snap, Simpson poses with her husband and kids in front of a sea of balloons, including some dinosaurs. The singer can be seen sporting a banana-leaf print crop-top and shorts set with her family giving the camera big grins to commemorate the occasion.
“Happy Birthday dinosaur!” Simpson captioned the snap. “You complete me #3 #aceknute”

Simpson later shared a photo of her two youngsters looking ready to dive into a volcano cake, complete with oozing lava, palm trees and, of course, dinosaurs.
“Ace turns 3 and I feel prehistoric!” the 35-year-old mom wrote. “#dinoparty #aceknute”

“It’s been a very exciting time to rediscover music and I definitely have so much inspiration,” Simpson recently told the Huffington Post. “I’ve been in the music business for so long, and it’s interesting to see what I come up with as a mom and the perspective I have after all the records I have made and all the life situations I’ve been through. There’s a lot to talk about. There’s a lot to sing about. There’s a lot I feel like people will relate to.”
If she’s still half as good at singing as she is at being a wonderful mama, we can’t wait to hear what’s next, but for now, Happy Birthday Ace Knute!
