Christina El Moussa Gets Real About Being Coparents and Coworkers With Tarek

Christina El Moussa isn’t letting the drama get her down.

The Flip or Flop star got candid about her relationship with ex Tarek, and how the pair is juggling the challenges of co-parenting and working together. While the tabloids may suggest otherwise, the mother of two revealed she and her children are doing much better than expected.

“Tarek and I met ten years ago at work and we went through a market crash, cancer, infertility, now we’re going through a very public divorce,” she said during an interview with Good Morning America on Feb. 12.

As for the children? They are doing so well they’re even winning awards.

The couple announced in December that they had separated. 

“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage,” the couple said in a statement. “We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed.”

While they are not staying married, the couple shares two children and a business.

“There’s a lot of false stories and a lot of hype, but in the end we’re just normal nice people who want to be the best parents and co-workers we can be,” she said.

She also revealed that the divorce hasn’t negatively impacted their children, sharing that they are happy and healthy.

Since the split, they have been focused on doing what’s best for their children, 6-year-old daughter, Taylor, and 18-month-old son, Brayden. 

“Despite everything our primary focus is and always will be our kids as we continue to work together,” Christina said. 

They share custody of the kids and spent holidays with the little ones. The kids are often regularly seen on set as they film Flip or Flop. 

Taylor even won an award at school for being “joyful” according to her mom.

The future of the show has been in question since the El Moussas announced their separation, but Christina assured Good Morning America that fans have no cause for concern. 

“We have so much fun on set and we look forward to continuing the show,” she gushed.

The show isn’t the only business venture Christina has in the works.
