A Look Back at the Sweetest Chris Pratt and Anna Faris Moments

Chris Pratt and Anna Faris sadly announced on Sunday that they are separating.

In a joint message posted by Pratt, they said, “Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed.”

The message continued, “Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.”

Lastly, the message said, “We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

The couple met in 2007 on the set of the film Take Me Home Tonight when they played one another’s love interests.

In 2008, they became engaged, then got married in 2009 in Bali. They had a son, Jack, in 2012.

Jack was born preterm and Pratt was quoted as saying that the circumstance “really defined” his faith and that the couple “prayed a lot” because of it.

While some fans are playing the blame game and others are just straight-up devastated by the news of the beloved couple’s split, one thing all fans can agree on is how adorable their family is. Take a look back at the sweetest moments between Pratt, Faris and their son Jack.

Pratt’s Walk of Fame ceremony

The family of three attended Pratt’s ceremony honoring him with his very own Walk of Fame star in April 2017. During the ceremony, both Faris and Pratt gave tearful speeches about the other:

“I’m the beneficiary of all this because I get to spend every day with this wonderful man,” Faris said. “I know that if our circumstances were different and we weren’t as fortunate to be standing here and living our Hollywood life, we would be happy in the woods together, I think … Honey, I want to thank you for being the most incredible person and an unbelievable talent … Thank you for being my husband. I love you so much.”

Pratt returned the compliments and then some:

“I want to thank my wife Anna, I love you. You’ve given me so much,” he said. “You gave me the greatest star in the galaxy in my little boy, I love him and I love you … With every challenge, with every day, week, month, decade, we become more bonded. You make me laugh like nobody else. You’re very caring, and thank you for your trust and your sacrifice — and for your dedication and your heart. I will do my best to protect it, and in return I will give you all of those things as well. You have my heart, my dedication, my trust.”

The ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ Premiere

Earlier this year, Faris and Pratt revealed their goofy natures at the premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which Pratt starred in.

Whether the couple is practicing their signature awkward prom pose here or if Pratt is just making a joke with his body language, it’s clear the couple is having fun.

Seattle’s 2016 Seafair Torchlight Parade

Pratt and Faris sat in the grand marshal’s black corvette during last summer’s Seattle Seafair Torch Parade, but all eyes were on then 3-year-old Jack in his captain’s hat with his navy blazer and tie. 

It’s clear that Jack is used to stealing the show, and we totally see why. 

The 2015 Oscars

The couple gazed into each other’s eyes at the 2015 Oscar Awards, where Pratt was a presenter. The two were in high spirits that night, joking on the red carpet about Jack. 

“We have a little toddler at home, so we’re not going home.” Faris said.

“Not going home, not for a week,” Pratt added. “Going out drinking for a week straight. He’s two and a half, he can take care of himself for a few days.”

Their 2015 ‘felfie’

Faris shared an adorable family selfie, or “felfie,” as she calls it, during a May 2015 outing. All three sported hats while Jack donned his trademark adorable glasses.

Faris’ caption — “You can tell by our faces that I’ve been trying to take this felfie for a while” — sounds all too familiar. The felfie struggle can be real at times, but Pratt and Jack were quite the troopers!

The 2014 People’s Choice Awards

Faris positively owned the red carpet at the 2014 red carpet, and Pratt couldn’t help but snap a pic of his wife along with the paparazzi. 

Chris Pratt on ‘Saturday Night Live’

When Pratt hosted Saturday Night Live‘s 40th anniversary episode in 2014, he sang an original song for the occasion, serenading Faris with lyrics like “Home’s where the heart is and mine’s right here, it belongs to the hottie in the audience right there.”

The ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ Premiere

Pratt and Faris attended the premiere of Zero Dark Thirty together in 2012, four months after Faris gave birth to Jack. As usual, the couple was cracking up together on the red carpet.
