Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney Aren't Officially Over, Just 'Taking A Break'

If your heart broke into a thousand pieces when you heard the news that Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney called off their engagement then we have some news that should make you feel better. The singer took to Instagram late Tuesday night to share some thoughts on her relationship with Kinney and it looks like the couple may not be over yet.

"Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates," she wrote alongside a black and white picture of the two of them walking with their arms around each other. "Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other."

See, they didn't call off the engagement completely, they're just taking a break!

A rep for Gaga confirmed that they are simply taking a break. Someone close to the performer also explained that their busy schedules were the motivation behind pressing pause on the relationship.

"She's working on an album, he's working on his show, they aren't in the same state, it was just hard," the friend said, according to E! News. "They both love each other very much and they want it to work. It's just been tough with the long distance."
