'DWTS' Couple Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd Expecting Their First Child

Beloved Dancing with the Stars couple Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are expecting their first child, PEOPLE reports.

This will be the first baby for both Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy, who have been engaged since December.

The news comes as little surprise, as the couple recently admitted they wished to start a family.

"I would like to start [having kids] pretty soon," Murgatroyd confessed. "A little boy, and then a little girl."

Chmerkovskiy agreed, sweetly adding that he was looking forward to the rest of their lives together.

"I'm not just looking forward to the next 20 years. I'm looking forward to the 20 years after that, when the kids are out of the house and it's just the two of us again," he said. "I can't wait."
