Comedy power couple Anna Faris and Chris Pratt shared the shocking news of their separation earlier in August.
"Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating," Pratt wrote in a social media post. "We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed."
A variety of rumors have been floating around about the cause of the split, with friction caused by Pratt's busy film schedule being the most cited reasoning.
Faris hinted at the reason for the split on the latest edition of her relationship podcast, Unqualified.
"Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn't fully right or somebody doesn't have your back, or somebody doesn't fully value you," she said. "Don't be afraid to feel your independence if things aren't right."

Divorce talks are ongoing, with the couple seeming to staying cordial.

You spend a year just focused on building a case to prove your point and why you're right and why they're wrong, and it's just an investment in vitriolic hatred. I just refuse. And fortunately, my partner in this agrees. It's just very, very jarring for the kids, to suddenly have their family ripped apart."

Another acting couple filed for divorce in April. After being separated for nearly two years, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner finally decided to file for divorce.
Despite that decision, the couple have appeared to be on good terms this year. Affleck has had a share of struggles recently, including alcoholism rehabilitation and professional pressures from his role as Batman. Garner is said to be supportive during these hard times.
They mutually agreed to formally file for divorce in April once Affleck was on solid ground.
"She gave him a chance to finish rehab and to be in a healthy place and then they decided together it was time to take this step," a source said at the time. "It was a coordinated effort and they are on the same page."
