DJ Accused of Groping Taylor Swift Is Begging for a Job

The Colorado DJ who was found guilty of assault and battery by pop superstar Taylor Swift is speaking out about his current employment status. David Mueller says that he’s been actively pursuing a job in radio but no has shown any interest at this time.

During an interview with TMZ, Mueller spoke out about trying to get a job after his reputation has been tarnished by the scandal involving Swift, in which she accused him of grabbing her “bare ass.”

“I’ve been personally seeking employment since after the concert. Within probably a couple weeks I started seeking employment. I also had a talent agent at the time of the incident. Right now I don’t have any offers,” he said.

Mueller continued by adding that he has expressed his willingness to start from the bottom at a radio station, but it hasn’t changed his outcome at this point.

“A lot of my friends in radio know that I’d be willing to even work for free. I offered to do a job that I did when I first got into radio, which is just screening phone calls. I think it’s hard for people to picture having me around. I’m hoping to clear my name and get my reputation back so I can work on a morning show. That’s my number one passion is morning radio,” he said.

As to how he plans to go about possibly getting a job in the future, Mueller joked that he may have to alter his identity.

“When I’m talking to people, not one person has said, ‘Yeah, let’s give him a chance.’ But that might change. This is still very fresh. It was a big story this week. So maybe in the future, I might have to get some plastic surgery and change my identity, I don’t know. I really don’t know.”

Even though a jury found Mueller guilty, he still maintains that he never touched the “Blank Space” singer inappropriately. During an interview on Good Morning America, the radio personality addressed the issue.

“What I’m saying is that I didn’t do what they say I did. I didn’t do it. I never grabbed her. I never had my hand under her skirt and I can pass a polygraph,” he said.

Swift’s best evidence was a photo that surfaced from the moment she met Mueller. He appeared to have his hand placed on her backside, but Mueller says that the photo was taken at an unfortunate moment.

“Because I was a larger person, I thought it would be a good idea if I closed my hand, so I didn’t poke Taylor with my fingers,” he said.
