Colorado DJ Accused of Groping Taylor Swift Breaks Silence

After a jury officially determined that David Mueller assaulted and battered Taylor Swift, the radio DJ maintains that he is innocent.

"What I'm saying is that I didn't do what they say I did. I didn't do it. I never grabbed her. I never had my hand under her skirt and I can pass a polygraph," he said during an interview on Good Morning America.

The "Blank Space" singer accused Mueller of grabbing her "bare" butt during a meet and greet photo session.

During her testimony, Swift said: "He did not touch my rib. He did not touch my arm. He did not touch my hand. He grabbed my bare ass."

A picture was taken at the moment that Swift claims Mueller inappropriately touched her. As for the photo in question, the Colorado radio personality said that it was a rushed snap.

"That wasn't ready. I wasn't invited to be in the photo. So it was–I just moved into the shot the best I could."

Mueller testified that he may have touched Swift's ribs with his knuckles while taking the photo.

"Because I was a larger person, I thought it would be a good idea if I closed my hand, so I didn't poke Taylor with my fingers," he said.

Swift's recollection of the events was drastically different.

"The first couple of milliseconds I thought it must be a mistake, so I moved to the side very quickly so that his side would be removed from my ass cheek, but it didn't let go," she said. "It was a very shocking thing that has never happened to me before. This was not something I had ever dealt with. I got as far away from him as I possibly could."

The eight-member jury, which was comprised of six women and two men, unanimously decided that Mueller did assault and batter the 27-year-old songstress during the 2013 encounter.

At the time that Swift initially accused Mueller of grabbing her butt, he was fired from his position at KYGO radio station as the co-host of Ryno and Jackson two days after the incident.

In 2015, Mueller sued Swift claiming she was responsible for his firing. The Grammy winner responded by filing a countersuit against Mueller for assault and battery.

Mueller's claim was dismissed this past Friday. Judge William Martinez ruled that Mueller's stance lacked evidence and witness testimony, according to E! News.

Swift was awarded $1 in punitive damages after Mueller sought $3 million in his initial lawsuit. After Mueller's suit was dropped, his lawyer requested $257,500 in damages as that was the amount he would have made during his existing contract with the Colorado radio station.
