Fuller House‘s third season premieres on Netflix on Sept. 22, and series star Candace Cameron Bure is sharing a few hints about what fans can expect from the upcoming batch of episodes.
“It’s so great. We are almost finished filming it,” the actress told Entertainment Tonight at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday. “We just came back from Japan last night and shot an amazing episode there. It’s a big season, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

The actress added that the show will explore a new time of year for its characters, echoing previous Full House specials like the clan’s trip to Disney World.
“A lot of summer fun which we’ve never done on 10 seasons of the show, 11 seasons,” Bure revealed. “So summer fun and then we have this huge trip. So, if you think old Full House like Disney World or Hawaii. Japan in Fuller House is even bigger.”
The family-friendly show is clearly striking a chord with viewers, as Bure was named Favorite Comedy Actress at Sunday’s ceremony.
“I’m so honored to have won the Favorite Comedy Actress Award, like, it kills me,” she cracked. “I never thought I’d be a 40-year-old now winning the Teen Choice Awards. So it’s pretty great, and I have three teenagers myself. It’s a really, really big honor for me.”
