The Rock's logo, spirit animal, and possible last link to WWE has vanished. Rocky posted to Instagram earlier today revealing that he had entirely covered up his patented Brahma Bull tattoo.

Knowing that we'd all be floored by the new image, The Rock provided a thorough explanation of why he made such a drastic change:

"Every detail is a reflection of my own personal history," he wrote. "From the cracks and heavy damage in the bone representing life's hard lessons I've learned over the years. Just like scars and wrinkles - I'm so grateful to have 'em because they're earned."

Evolution of the bull. After 3 sessions and 22hrs of tattooing with world renowned @NikkoHurtado, the story's complete. Every detail is a reflection of my own personal history. From the cracks and heavy damage in the bone representing life's hard lessons I've learned over the years. Just like scars and wrinkles - I'm so grateful to have 'em because they're earned. To the horns, not pointing up or out to the side, but pointing straight ahead representing relentless energy and forward progress. The core and anchor of this image is in the eye. Look closely and you'll find the life, energy, power and you'll feel the MANA (spirit). The eye tells the story of a disruptive positive energy always ready to dent the universe. Depending on the light and angle, sometimes the energy's subtle and sometimes it's glaring. But it's always alive and ready to disrupt the universe and love and protect my family and all things I love with intense passion and gratitude. Cheers to living, learning, evolving and growing. And to the positive disrupters ready to dent the universe. #EvolutionOfTheBull #TheDisrupter #NowLetsBreakOutTheTequila

Last week, the Rock posted to Instagram right before his "evolution" began:

"This is officially the evolution of the bull, something that is very meaningful to me. It's become iconic, I've been very grateful, over the years. What it's meant to me, and certainly what it's meant to people all over the world … The mana is very, very strong in the room. We talked for hours and hours and hours of what this means, the evolution, what it means, how it reflects me as a man. So here we go."

Most of us may need to sit down for a quiet fivee or 10 minutes to fully digest what's just happened. The Rock seems to be proud of his new ink, all we can do support him.

Anyone completely floored by Johnson's tattoo transformation can tune into Ink Master: Shop Wars Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. on Spike for more mind-blowing tattoos.
