On Friday, Gotham actor Donal Logue tweeted out that his trans daughter Jade was missing, and now his fellow celebrities are sending out messages of hope and support.

Logue wrote, “Jade. we miss you and love you. please come home. If you can see this, just know I love and miss you dearly.”
Some media referred to Jade as Logue’s “son,” but music icon Cher has come out in defense of that, tweeting, “Hey media: Donal Logue’s trans daughter, NOT SON, NOT “CHILD” is missing. The fact that she’s trans is very important. Don’t erase it.”

Entertainment reporter Perez Hilton also tweeted out support, writing, “Something every parent dreads. Praying for a safe recovery!!”
Additionally, comedian and narrator of ABC’s The Goldbergs, Patton Oswalt wrote, “This is a nightmare. Can’t imagine what Donal’s going through. PLEASE READ PLEASE HELP.”

Logue initially announced Jade’s disappearance on Tuesday of last week.
In a since deleted tweet, he wrote, “Missing – yesterday at 2 PM Barclays Center/Fort Greene Brooklyn: my child, Jade Logue. 6’2″ 180 lime green hoodie dark green military parka.”

Logue’s rep released a statement requesting that anyone who has information on Jade’s whereabouts to please come forward.
They wrote,”The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in locating the 16-year-old who was last seen leaving home Monday afternoon on the way to Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Anyone with information in regards to this missing person is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.”
