It has been over four years since the 'Redneck Woman,' Gretchen Wilson released an album and the wait has finally come to an end.

Out now, Ready to Get Rowdy is Wilson's 12th album and features a song dedicated to the first lady of country music, Loretta Lynn. In an interview with Rare Country, Wilson reveals that this song in particular, was not difficult to write.

Entitled, "A Little Loretta" the singer says about the track, "I'm not sure what was happening, but I told someone that I was about to get 'a little bit Loretta,' and I instantly knew that I had a song. It's about those moments when you are at your boiling point. As soon as I said it, I got paper and pencil, and the song literally wrote itself. It was almost too easy."

Wilson's dedication to Lynn comes at a sensitive time as her health has been a topic of conversation lately. Good news was announced in June by her Lynn's younger brother, Herman Webb who spoke with Closer Weekly giving an update about her health after suffering a debilitating stroke this past May that left the 85-year-old "kind of" paralyzed on one side. "[She can get around by] herself now, she just has to use a walker," he said. "She's doing really good — that's the main thing!"

Wilson stepped away from the spotlight in 2014 to raise her now 16-year-old daughter and focus on family. The Illinois native stepped away from nearly all public appearances including award shows, red carpets, and to the dismay of her fans, concert touring. Now that her daughter is a bit older, Wilson admits that she is ready to get back out there, but not for the reason you may think. "My daughter started talking about NYU, so I have to go back to work," she said with a laugh in an interview with Nash Country Daily.

To the delight of Wilson fans everywhere, she has been active on social media surrounding the launch of Rowdy, recently posting about the new album and her concert appearances. The star seems to be enjoying re-connecting with fans and if you are lucky enough to see her on stage, grab your cowboy boots because it's sure to be a party!
