“These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists,” Jenner wrote in the statement she shared. “We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all the images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are very sorry.”

Jenner’s apology comes following harsh criticism of the shirts which featured images of musicians and albums with Jenner and her sister, Kylie’s, image printed over them. Some of the shirts featured the brand’s “KK” logo printed over iconic album covers as well as images of the sisters’ Instagram posts printed over the faces of musicians.

Earlier on Thursday, Voletta Wallace, mother of the late Notorious B.I.G., blasted the Jenner sisters on Instagram for using her son’s image without permission or notification of the Wallace estate.
“This is disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!!” Wallace posted.
The shirts, which had been priced at $125 each, we removed from Jenner’s Kendall + Kylie website and social media on Thursday.
