With the gritty portrayal of X-Men‘s Logan behind him, Hugh Jackman has returned to his musical roots with his next film, The Greatest Showman.

The movie tells the story of P.T. Barnum (Jackman), and how he began his world-famous travelling circus. The first trailer for the movie was released on Wednesday morning, and it looks like a spectacular musical adventure.
Jackman has truly embodies the greatest showman persona throughout his career, after going from musical theater to portraying one of the most recognizable comic book characters in the world. He’s kept up with the musicals throughout his career, and was nominated for an Academy Award for his turn as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables.

Joining Jackman in The Greatest Showman are Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Zendaya, and Rebecca Ferguson. The film was directed by Michael Gracey, on a screenplay written by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon.
