Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey is no stranger to the WWE. The company recently posted the below video of the avowed wrestling fan and world-famous fighter arriving at Full Sail University to attend the WWE’s first-ever women’s tournament, the Mae Young Classic.

In the clip, Rousey is shown being greeted by Triple H, who oversees the NXT developmental brand and events such as the Mae Young Classic in his role as Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative for WWE. She is also shown being embraced by friend and WWE Women’s Division star Natalya.

Though a number of the tournament’s participants come from a non-wrestling background, one of the more surprising competitors announced for the Mae Young Classic was mixed-martial artist Shayna Baszler, making her WWE debut as one of the 32 entrants in the historic tournament. Baszler clearly has the attention of many in the WWE and the support of her famous friends, including Rousey.

Fueling long held rumors that Rousey may one day sign with the company, the WWE earlier this week posted an online poll to their official website and Twitter account asking fans which of ten top talents from the WWE women’s division they would most like to see her face in a possible debut, including Natalya, Charlotte Flair, Stephanie McMahon, and more.

Rousey herself fed such rumors when intrepid fans noticed she recently started following a number of WWE Twitter accounts. Stephanie McMahon had also previously stated publicly that Rousey joining the WWE would be a “match made in heaven.” Although, the one time Rousey did appear in a WWE ring was in a spot alongside fellow Fast and the Furious 7 castmate Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson against McMahon and HHH at WrestleMania 31.

Tune in to catch a glimpse of Ronda Rousey and see how Shayna Baszler fares in the Mae Young Classic when the first four episodes of the tournament premiere on demand beginning Monday, Aug. 28, on the WWE Network.
