Randy Orton Has a Secret Twitter War With Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton’s career in WWE started around the same time and it’s safe to say they know each other well. But that doesn’t mean they like one another.

Now, they may not be enemies, but Orton sure doesn’t shy aware from having a little fun a the Beast Incarnate’s expense. Maybe he’s looking for a little retribution for getting his skull cracked open at SummerSlam last year. Maybe he doesn’t vibe with all of the preferential treatment Lesnar has been receiving over the years. Or maybe Orton just likes to rock the boat here and there.

Either way, the Viper has grown fond of the WWE Creative parody Twitter account and has used them multiple times to underline the soft belly of the Beast.

Earlier this year, Orton retweeted this little diddy.

So while this is hardly a blood feud, it’s still fun. Lesnar pretty much does as he pleases in WWE and maybe Orton is the only guy he’ll tolerate a little shade from. Either that or Orton can’t survive without a little chaos.

Orton’s subtle jabs are all too relevant as seemingly a new report comes out each day pertaining to the departure of Lesnar.

According to an exclusive report from PWstream, the rumors aroundLesnar dropping the Universal Championship and leaving for UFC are all one giant attempt to maximize intrigue for the August pay-per-view. In short, expect Lesnar to remain at SummerSlam.

“The current feeling backstage is that Brock doesn’t want to leave WWE. And in fact, is using a potential move to the UFC as a bargaining chip, rather than a legitimate offer he’s willing to take. The reported plan, from Lesnar’s side, is to use the UFC deal as leverage for a bigger WWE deal after WrestleMania, when his contract expires,” PWstream reports.

So what sounds more like a conspiracy theory is actually a business tool. Lesnar is looking for the biggest payday, and playing WWE and UFC against one another is the perfect way to do so.

Lesnar is still scheduled for multiple WWE appearances after SummerSlam, including live events like No Mercy, the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 34. So while Lesnar may indeed return to UFC one day, it will not be until after WrestleMania.

This is the case for two very big reasons. The first is that Lesnar’s contract is not up until after WrestleMania 34. So all of this “loser leaves town” stuff is just noise. Second, he has nowhere to go. Lesnar has two months to serve on his UFC suspension for failing a drug test. These are two immovable objects so when it comes to Lesnar’s future, he must legally serve both of them.
