In only a few weeks into the world of singles competition, Big Cass already has lofty goals for his career. Slapping around former partner Enzo Amore must have stirred up some ambition and now Cass wants the top spot in WWE — a WrestleMania match with Roman Reigns.
The newly solo big man recently spoke with Sport Bible about the significant changes he’s undergone this summer and what he hopes to accomplish in his new independence.

“Roman Reigns has mainevented three Wrestlemanias in a row and I’d really like to main event Wrestlemania with Roman Reigns. That’s the match I really want right now. Love him, hate him whatever you think of him it doesn’t matter, he’s mainevented three straight Wrestlemanias and that’s almost unprecedented,” Cass said.
“I think The Rock is the only other guy to have been able to do that- three in a row. So right now, currently, [my dream match] is to main event Wrestlemania with Roman Reigns,” he added.
For having so many detractors, Reigns certainly has a weird way of showing up in his peers’ “dream matches.” Headlining WrestleMania is a privilege that many wrestlers will spend their entire career chasing (CM Punk). Such an opportunity adds magic to the mystique of one’s character, and Reigns has spent the last 3 years doing just that.

While fans may be quick to point out that Reigns was simply handed these opportunities, he’s done nothing but exceed expectations. To main event multiple, let alone consecutive WrestleManias, is a task that is not given to mortal men of wrestling. Performing under that spotlight has a way of rapidly seasoning a wrestler, which is why Reigns feels so much more advanced than his Shield counterparts.
Cass gets it, too — as does Jeff Hardy and maybe even John Cena. The biggest match in WWE is a WrestleMania main event with Reigns.
One day, Cass may find himself in that enviable position. Since he broke up with Enzo, he’s done nothing but shine. He’s been vicious, arrogant and potent on the microphone while displaying an unspoken understanding of how to be a good performer.
WWE likely has big plans for Cass, but don’t expect them to surface until after SummerSlam. The August show feels like a WrestleMania and the card has hardly been configured. Once the dust clears from what will likely be an atomic show, Cass will begin his climb to WWE’s brightest spot lights.
