It’s reported that the series is still in the early project stages, but it has been revealed that it will be written/executive produced by Adam Cozad (Tarzan, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit) and directed/executive produced by Lee Toland Krieger (The Age Of Adaline).

Both men were attached to the project when it was previously envisioned as a film.

In a previous interview, Shailene Woodley, the star of the Divergent series nixed rumors that she would star in the story-ending TV series. She was quoted as saying, “No. I’m not going to be on the television show.”

The Allegiant novel is written from the perspective of two characters, Beatrice (Tris) and Tobias (Four).

A synopsis of the novel reads, “Through confessing her role in the previous insurgency, Beatrice “Tris” Prior, Christina, and Cara are pardoned. Tris is informed by Tobias “Four” Eaton that the faction members have formed the “Allegiant”, a rebel group wanting to restore the faction system.”

The Divergent Series: Allegiant film starred Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Jeff Daniels, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Zoรซ Kravitz, Maggie Q, Ray Stevenson, Bill Skarsgรฅrd, Octavia Spencer and Naomi Watts.
