Netflix’s original programming options are growing so exponentially that it’s entirely possible that one day they could outnumber the amount of contracted content available on the streaming service.

Along with that comes the reality that many those shows and movies will share actors and actresses.

With over 50 original shows and mini-series, not to mention all the shows they’ve picked up for continuation, and close to 50 feature films, it stands to reason that some of those projects would feature many of the same performers.

For example, comedienne Maria Bamford, who has her own Netflix comedy special titled Old Baby, also has her own series, Lady Dynamite, and has been on Arrested Development, as well as done voice work on BoJack Horseman.

Bamford is just one of the many actors who pop up in multiple Netflix originals, as the list can get pretty lengthy.

Will Arnett

Most people will recognize Willย Arnettย as GOB (George Oscar Bluth II) onย Arrested Development, the oldest Bluthย brother and arguably the most delusional.

Years after FOX prematurely canceled the critically acclaimed show, Netflix picked it up and gave it a fourth season, and there’s a rumor that a fifth season will happen.

In additionย to Arrested Development, Arnettย also has his own Netflix show titled Flaked, and he voices the title character in the animated hitย BoJackย Horseman.

Mahershala Ali

When he’s not busy winning awards,ย Mahershala Ali is busy at work on his multiple Netflixย originals.

In House of Cards, Ali playedย Remy Danton, a “lawyer for Glendon Hill and lobbyist who works for natural gas company SanCorp.” Later he becomes the Chief of Staff for President Underwood but eventually decides to quit politics.

Over on Netflix’s Luke Cage, Ali starred asย Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, the owner of a popular Harlem nightclub, who was really was an underground arms dealer.

Jason Bateman

Another very recognizable Arrested Development alum, Jason Batemanย stars on the quirky sitcom asย Michael Bluth, the middle Bluthย son who’s burdened with running the family business.

While we wait with ourย fingers crossed for that new season of Arrested Development, Batemanย has a new Netflix show titled Ozark to pass the time with.

It’s said to be about a “man who relocates to hopefully wipe the slate clean from his dealings in the drug world and you can probably guess how that’s gone.”ย If you’re a fan of Bloodline or Breaking Bad, you may want to plan on checking this one out.

Allison Brie

On BoJackย Horseman, Allison Brie stars opposite Will Arnettย as the voice ofย Diane Nguyen, the often unattainable desire ofย BoJack’sย affection.

Nguyen is described as “a nice, well-reasoned, misunderstood intellectual, and a Vietnamese-American third-wave feminist from Boston who lives with her rich and famous boyfriend, former sitcom star Mr. Peanutbutter.”

Just this past week, however, Brie saw the launch of her starring vehicleย GLOW, which is a Netflixย originalย dramedyย that “revolves around a fictionalization of the characters and gimmicks of the 1980s syndicated women’s professional wrestling circuit, the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (or GLOW).”

David Cross

Apparently, everyone who starred on Arrested Development also appears in other Netflixย originals, because we have another here in David Cross.

Fans will remember him hasย Tobias Fรผnke, the “never nude” son-in-law to the Bluthsย who has made for countless laughs.

Cross also has his own sketch comedy show on Netflixย with his comedy partner Bob Odenkirk. W/ Bob & David is a spin-offย of the duo’s HBOย series, Mr. Show with Bob and David.

In addition to that, however, he was also prominentlyย featured in season two ofย Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and reappears briefly in the third.

Paul Rudd

Paul Rudd has a few Netflixย original titles under his belt.

He starred inย Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, the Netflix-backed sequel to 2001’s indie-comedyย Wet Hot American Summer. He’ll also star inย Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, which hits the streaming giant later this year.

In addition to that, Rudd starred in the Netflixย original film The Fundamentals of Caring, as well as voicing Mr. Prince, in the Netflixย animated movie The Little Prince.

Adam Sandler

While there are many actors and actresses who have ended up being inย multiple Netflixย originals, Adam Sandler is the only one who specifically inked a deal to do it.

In an unprecedented move, Sandlerย and his Happy Madison production company signed a multi-picture deal with Netflix.

So far,ย Sandlerย has played a cowboy inย The Ridiculous 6, a con-man inย The Do-Over, and a lackluster Hollywood agent inย Sandy Wexler.

There may be more on the horizon, but we’ll just have to wait and see what character Sandlerย takes on in his next Netflix original film.
