'Game of Thrones' Characters Who Should Die

WARNING: Major spoilers ahead for those who aren't completely caught up on Game of Thrones! Read at your own risk...
As the fans of Game of Thrones are well aware, there are a plethora of despicable characters on the HBO series. Because a number of major players in the story are frequently killed off, there is actually a ranking system that has been created for fans to vote on which character should be the next to meet their demise.
With thousands of votes being cast, there are a handful of characters that have stood out from the rest as being more despised than others on the drama. While some of the characters that made the list were to be expected, there are definitely some shocking results.
Leading the pack as being the most voted character who should die next is Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane. The character, who is portrayed by actor Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, is the head of House Clegane and is the older brother of Sandor "The Hound" Clegane. In the current seventh season of GOT, the Mountain is currently working as Queen Cersei Lannister's personal bodyguard.
Coming in second is the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). Over the course of the show's history, she has proven to be one of the most ruthless characters and has an ongoing incestuous relationship with her twin brother, Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau).
Filling out the top three is Theon Greyjoy. The character, who is portrayed by Alfie Allen, has lived a pretty miserable existence on the series. He betrayed Robb Stark early in the show and things quickly went downhill thereafter.
Prior to his season 6 death, Iwan Rheon's "Ramsay Bolton" was the character that received the most votes to be killed next. This comes as no surprise to fans of the books and TV show as Ramsay was easily one of the most sadistic and truly despicable people in all of Westeros. Other characters that have already been killed off that made the list were Joffrey Baratheon, Roose Bolton, Pycelle, Alliser Thorne and Tywin Lannister.
Other characters — who are still alive on the show — that made it into the top 30 include Aidan Gillen's Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish, who landed at the 7th spot and Carice Van Houten "Melisandre," who was voted 11th. Surprisingly, Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen made the list as the 21st highest voted character who should die next. Check out the full results on Ranker.com here.
