Fox Chief Optimistic About Possible 'Bones' Revival

In the age of movie reboots and TV revivals, it's no surprise that every popular show is set to return at one point or another.

At this year's TCA summer press tour, Fox Chairman and CEO Dana Walden was asked about the possibility of Bones, the recently-ended crime series, making a comeback.

As you can probably imagine, Walden was incredibly positive about the idea.

"I think David Boreanaz would be upset with his new show premiering if I said it was any time soon," Walden said on Tuesday. "I would anticipate ultimately we would happily do something around Bones, and that group was so close and the experience was so good for all of them. I can't say definitively, we've had no conversations, it's just too soon, and they're all pursuing different things right now."

The new show Walden is referring to is Seal Team, the new military series starring David Boreanaz. Before landing the lead role in the show, Boreanaz starred in all 12 seasons of Bones.

The revival is popular in today's television landscape. Fox brought back both Prison Break and 24 for new installments earlier this year, so the network is definitely open to it. Meanwhile, NBC has brought back Will & Grace (renewing it for a second season already) and ABC is currently producing a revival of the hit sitcom, Roseanne.
