Texas Woman Plans to Live Stream Her Boob Job on Instagram Tomorrow

File "live breast augmentation" as something you can now watch online, thanks to one Texas woman and her doctor.

Beauty blogger Ashley Devonna will undergo the elective plastic surgery by Dr. Farah Khan tomorrow, Friday, August 18. The procedure will be broadcast live on Dr. Kahn's Instagram page beginning at 9:30 a.m. EST.

"This is something I've always wanted and I've talked to my parents about it," Devonna told The CW33 of her 24-hour recovery surgery.

The 24-year-old YouTuber has more than 220,000 followers, and she considers the decision to stream her surgery as another way of being open and honest with fans. She also realizes that some may criticize her choice, but that won't stop her from following through with it.

"I'm very open to everyone's opinion of me and my decision because, in the most polite way...the only opinions that affect me are the ones that I care about," she said.

Dr. Kahn agreed to live stream the procedure by Devonna's request, understanding why she's opting to share this vulnerable moment with followers.

"Nowadays we live our lives on social media," says Khan, "and I think, especially the younger generation, that's how they communicate and they want to be open with their friends, their family, their followers."

Dr. Kahn joins a growing number of medical professionals who have live streamed procedures and surgeries with a popular following.

Think about Dr. Sandra Lee, aka Dr. Pimple Popper. This dermatologist has shared thousands of videos and photos of patients' skin procedures to more than 2.5 million Instagram followers.

Whether people are interested in what goes on behind the scenes of surgery or they find odd satisfaction in seeing these graphic procedures, this trend is likely one we'll see on the rise in coming months.
