Are Mama June and Honey Boo Boo Returning to Reality TV?

It looks like reality television isn’t quite done with Honey Boo Boo or Mama June.

Earlier this year, WE tv aired a series about June Shannon’s dramatic weight loss, called Mama June: From Not to Hot. The show about June’s transformation was successful, but there was no word as to whether or not it would return for another season.

A recent photo on Instagram makes it seem as though we could see June, along with her daughter Alana (better known as Honey Boo Boo), back on the channel soon.

Last month, location manager Tamara Welborn posted some pictures of her niece with Honey Boo Boo. The captions claimed that they were working on a set in Atlanta — the set of a WE tv production.

Welborn also mentioned Mama June in a slew of hashtags on the post.

While this is far from confirmation that Mama June’s show, or family, is returning to TV, it’s hard to believe this is a coincidence. Not to Hot aired its last episode months ago, so what other reason would the Shannon family have for hanging out on the WE tv set?

If there is another season of Mama June — or a whole new show — on the way, it wouldn’t be much of an adjustment for the family. After making waves on Toddlers & Tiaras, June and Alana were given their own reality show on TLC, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
