The article doesn’t include many details, but confirms that the special will be called Being Javi. MTV has done several similar specials in this vein, including the most recent Being Simon about Teen Mom OG cast member Farrah Abraham’s ex Simon Saran.
Marroquin’s claim to reality fame comes from his relationship with ex-wife Kailyn Lowry. The two were together for six years before splitting in 2017 and have a 3-year-old son Lincoln together.
The former couple has had a rocky relationship over the years, with cheating allegations flying on both sides before they divorced. Now, however, the two appear to be on fairly good terms, planning on an upcoming book tour together and successfully co-parenting their child.
The special may delve into Marroquin’s latest relationship with Teen Mom 2 castmate Briana DeJesus. The two confirmed they were dating after the filming of the MTV show’s reunion special.
“It’s amazing with Bri and me,” the 24-year-old Marroquin told Radar Online. The couple had been talking for a long time, but waited to make their relationship official
“We talked about that and we said there is no rush,” he told the site. “Long distance is already hard enough as it is. If we want to keep this friendship and get closer and get to know each other, there is no rush.”
Teen Mom 2 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.
