Have you been missing the thrilling adventures of the 1980's Magnum PI? Or, perhaps you've just been missing Tom Selleck's amazing mustache? Well, ABC can help you with one of those thanks to the upcoming reboot of the classic show – Magnum.

John Rogers, creator of Leverage, and Eva Longoria are partnering together to bring a new generation a modern take on the crime series. Packed full of the same fun action- adventure, the show returns to Hawaii, but instead of featuring a handsomely mustached man, it will follow Magnum's daughter, the kick-ass Lily "Tommy" Magnum.

Lily, who had a significant role in the series finale of the original Magnum P.I., was taken in by her biological father, Magnum, after her mother and step father were killed. Now, thanks to a spy operation, her career in Navy Intelligence has ended and she has returned to Hawaii. Here, this new Magnum will have to deal with the seedy underbelly of international crime and espionage, while also taking in a beach or two.

"We knew no one could replace the iconic role of Thomas Magnum, so John decided to make the reboot a sequel and continue the adventure of a Magnum – his daughter, who was established in the original series," Longoria told Deadline.

In the past, Rogers has been responsible for creating popular shows such as Leverage, The Librarians, and The Player. Longoria, who's UnbeliEVAble Entertainment company is still fairly new, has also been behind such popular shows as Telenovela, and Devious Maids – needless to say, if there is a company that has experience creating strong female characters, it's probably UnbeliEVAble.

There is no news as to when this new version of Magnum might be hitting ABC.
