Lou Pearlman, Former 'NSync and Backstreet Boys Manager Dies in Prison at Age 62

Lou Pearlman, the disgraced producer and manager of the Backstreet Boys, O-Town and *NSYNC passed away Friday August 19th while serving a 25-year sentence in prison, according to Billboard.

Pearlman was in prison after being convicted for a half-billion-dollar Ponzi scheme in 2009.

'NSync's Lance Bass tweeted about the news on Saturday, August 20. "Word is that #LouPearlman has passed away, he might not have been a stand-up businessman, but I wouldn't be doing what I love today w/out his influence. RIP Lou."
