"Your Monday reminder that #gainingweightiscool," Taylor wrote in the caption.
"I thought that being skinny would make me happy. It didn't," she continued. "I could not maintain starving myself for long before I would binge. It was a destructive, painful cycle that took a toll on my psyche and my body. Starving yourself doesn't work."
"I would try to do everything and go head first into doing all the fitness and healthy eating things and it was so overwhelming. That didn't work for me. After 58 weeks of bbg [Bikini Body Guide], here's on thing I've learned. Getting fit is something that happens in layers like like the layers of an onion. Make one change that you can sustain, like doing bbg resistance 3 times per week."
"When you make slow changes, it's so much easier to stay on your healthy trajectory. If you fall off track after making small sustainable changes, it won't be as traumatic as bc your small changes are already part of your habits."
"It is impossible to hate yourself into the body you want, bc you'll be unhappy no matter what. The only way to hit your goals is through self-love. That's what I've learned over the past 58 weeks of bbg."
"In the picture on the left I would eat very low calorie which lowered my energy and would cause unheard of cravings that resulted in huge binge fests. Today I eat more calories, good calories, have more energy and my muscles get the fuel they need."
"Before bbg, I had this idea that if I went on a super restrictive diet and lost all the weight, that I'd just maintain that weight stay thin. But that's not the truth. That never worked. After the starvation diet, I would immediately relapse."
"The truth is that it's harder than going on a starvation diet, because you'll just rebound when you go back to 'normal' eating if you just go back to your previous lifestyle. Here's what I've learned --- You have to change your daily habits. That's what will change your life. Make exercise a habit. Make eating a salad everyday a habit. Make sleeping 7-8 hours a night a habit. That's a lot harder than going on a starvation diet, but it's the real path to a stable, healthy state."
