Game of Thrones season 7 episode 2, “Stormborn” was all about big meet ups and character crossovers – and one of the biggest meetings was between Daenerys Targaryen and the new allies that will be her war council in the campaign against Cersei Lannister and her forces.
As “Stormborn” reveals, Daenerys will be allied with a council comprised (primarily) of other powerful women of Westeros. That council currently includes:

- Lady Olenna of House Tyrell
- Ellaria Sand of Dorne, leader of the “Sand Snakes”
- Yara Greyjoy
- Melisandre “the Red Woman”

Along with this crew of power women, there are the men serving them: Tyrion, Greyworm, and Theon.
This is a big turn for Game of Thrones, as the ladies of Westeros are officially stepping into the spotlight of power – on all sides of the conflict it seems. Even Sansa saw her road to power open up, thanks to Jon’s impending trip down to Dragonstone.
Will the alliance between Daenerys and her cohorts last? Well… as we saw later in the episodes the casalties of war have already started – in kind.
