Could there be a sequel to Sweet Home Alabama arriving in the near future?
According to Reese Witherspoon, the answer is a definite maybe!
The actress hosted a live Q&A on Facebook last week when she was asked about her feelings on making more sequels to some her most popular films like Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama, and her answer gave us a lot to hope for!
While Legally Blonde already saw a sequel in 2003, Witherspoon revealed she would love to revisit her iconic character of Elle Woods.
"[Legally Blonde] was really fun," E! News reports the actress as saying. "A lot of people have asked me if we're going to make another Legally Blonde, and we're thinking about it."
As for Sweet Home Alabama, which was released in 2002, plenty of fans asked Witherspoon about her thoughts on a sequel, and she responded that she would be happy to make fans' dreams a reality.
"We are not making a [Sweet Home Alabama] sequel that I know of," Witherspoon dished. "But if Disney wants to make a sequel, they can just call me: I would happily make Sweet Home Alabama 2."
Did you hear that, Disney? Make it happen!
