Miranda Lambert is currently on tour supporting her recent double album The Weight of These Wings, and the singer stopped at Colorado’s Red Rock Amphitheater this week for two nights of country music.
During her Aug. 9 show, Lambert gave the audience a special surprise when she brought out fellow Texas artists Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers to help her pay tribute to late country legend Merle Haggard.

The trio performed a cover of Haggard’s “Sing Me Back Home,” with Lambert acknowledging the group’s Texas roots prior to their performance.
“I met these guys when I was 17 and we were playing any shitty gig we could find to play together,” she said. “So it’s a really cool thing to get to celebrate this night together with y’all.”
Bowen and Lambert split the first verse, with all three musicians coming together during the song’s chorus.
The touching cover was warmly received by the crowd, who enthusiastically cheered for the trio.
Prior to the performance, Lambert shared a snap of the trio on Instagram, writing, “We might have worked up a lil something for the show tonight!”
