Fresh off of the end of her Trump scandal, Kathy Griffin revealed that she has shaven her head. However, it’s not a simple hairstyle choice. Instead, the comedian did it as a sign of solidarity with her sister Joyce, who has cancer.

Joyce is currently undergoing chemotherapy, so Griffin wanted to shave her head to help raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Two photos of the former Bravo reality star started circulating on Twitter with her new look. One shows her showing off her bare head in front of a bush. The other shows Griffin posing with her mother Maggie, who seems shocked at the new look.
Maggie also took to Twitter to share the photos and tell fans what she thinks of the gesture.

Griffin has been in the news as of late solely because the controversial photo she took holding a bloody visage of President Trump. She was just recently cleared of all wrongdoing by a federal investigation.
Now that that issue is settled, it appears she’s focusing on her family. Joyce is not the only person in Griffin’s family who has battled cancer, as People points out.
Her older brother Gary died of stage-four esophageal cancer back in 2014. At the time of his passing, she shared a touching tribute to him on Instagram.
