“I can’t wait to provide this baby with the tools to become a beautiful, kind person,” Chmerkovskiy said. “And they’ll have the best sneaker collection.”
News of their pregnancy was leaked early on, but was only confirmed this week.
The couple learned that they were expecting just a few weeks into the 22nd season of DWTS and the mom-to-be confessed that she had to dance through some morning sickness.
“I was so sick,” she admitted. Not that it slowed her down at all! She went on to win with her dance partner, Nyle DiMarco.
She is now on the road with her husband as he tours for Maks & Val: Live on Tour and is feeling great.
“I’m looking forward to nurturing something and just having the baby be the center of our world,” said Murgatroyd. “I’m looking forward to putting all our energy into this beautiful soul.”
Though they hadn’t planned to start their family before the wedding, the couple was already looking forward to adding a third.
“The timing is perfect, actually,” adds Murgatroyd. “I’ll have the baby in January and then I’ll still have about six months to prepare for the wedding.”
It also means they’ll get to share their big day with their little one!
“The baby will make a wonderful addition to the wedding party,” Chmerkovskiy gushed. “A wonderful, tiny addition.”
