John Mayer has a few words for his ex, Katy Perry. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Mayer reacted to Perry ranking him as the best she’s ever had.
“I don’t have a cool-enough thought for you,” Mayer, 39, said. “I’ve hacked this game. I pay very little of the price of fame now. I get to play the music that moves me the most. I’m having the time of my life. I’m 39 — I remember 32. I don’t wanna do it again.”

Mayer’s cryptic statements seem to reflect that he doesn’t want to accept the compliment from 32-year-old Perry, who he dated on and off from 2012 to 2015, and would rather play his music without the drama.
Earlier this month during Perry’s Witness Worldwide live stream, The Late Late Show host James Corden asked Perry to rank three of her ex-lovers (Mayer, Orlando Bloom and Major Lazer member Diplo) as to who was the best in bed.

The “Bon Appétit” singer was reluctant at first, but eventually named Diplo at the bottom of the totem pole, then Bloom, and finally Mayer as the top spot. “They’re all amazing lovers and I would have sex with all of them after I get out of this place!” she said at the time.
Mayer may be over the drama of his relationship with Perry now, but back in March he confirmed that his new song “Still Feel Like Your Man” is indeed about Perry.
“Who else would I be thinking about?” he told the New York Times. “And by the way, it’s a testament to the fact that I have not dated a lot of people in the last five, six years. That was my only relationship. So it’s like, give me this, people.”
Mayer isn’t the first ex to respond to Perry’s rankings; Diplo sounded off on Twitter, saying “I don’t even remember having sex.”

Later, he wrote that he “won the bronze metal [sic] in sex Olympics.”
Perry and Diplo dated for a few months in 2014.
