When RAW is good, the world is a better place. Coming off the horrendous SmackDown pay-per-view, Battleground, last night’s RAW may as well have been WrestleMania III.
WWE booked the largest (quite literally) Fatal 4-Way in history by jamming Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, and Brock Lesnar in SummerSlam’s Universal championship match. WWE may not have a big enough ring for these beasts.

Bayley, Bray Wyatt, Jason Jordan-Angle, and the Revival all big nights too. And how about that fractional Shield reunion? RAW is hitting on all cylinders and we should expect this to continue. WWE is trying to build SummerSlam into a WrestleMania Lite and that all begins with booking a strong RAW.
But you can go to YouTube or Twitter for these low hanging fruit of highlights. I’m here for the nuance. In 3 hours of show, WWE gives us a lot to digest and chances are, you missed something. Well, I didn’t. In fact, I’m confident I picked up on every subtlety the show gave us. Maybe.
Let’s try it anyway, here’s What You Missed From RAW
Dean and Rollins
Did anyone else catch Cesaro and Sheamus scouting Dean and Rollins’ match vs. the Miztourage? Understand that image was not arbitrary. Dean and Seth are a tag team.

Even though Ambrose didn’t partake in the Shield’s secret handshake, this is official. It’s so official, that WWE’s newest power couple will face Cesaro and Sheamus at SummerSlam for the tag titles. Ok, that part is unofficially, but it’s my official prediction, ya dig?
The crowd adored Rollins and Ambrose last night. In fact, I can’t remember a WWE act had that positive of a reaction. This is going to be good. Especially when Dean turns on Rollins in a few months.
Sasha heel turn?
You may have noticed Sasha Banks acting particularly catty in her pre-match promo with Bayley. While the Queen of Hugs kept things sportsmen like, Sasha clearly had some poisonous ambitions. Her dance with evil may have upset her karma, and she would have her win stolen from her 30 minutes later.

Friendships may not last in real life, but they definitely don’t last in WWE. They’re boring!
No one wants to see Sasha and Bayley play patty-cake; we want some betrayal! And we’re getting it, it’s just hard to pin point when.
There’s still plenty of time between now and SummerSlam. I’m not totally convinced that WWE will keep Sasha Banks out of this match. However, what they may do instead is allow Sasha to essentially become Bayley’s manager, this allows her to continue hating Alexa Bliss.
So when she’s ringside at SummerSlam and Bayley needs help, Sash sticks a knife in her huggable back. It’s long over due.
Jason Jordan’s Enchantress
The best line of dialogue last night goes to Emma who threatened to date Kurt Angle’s son, Jason Jordan-Angle. That idea bothered Angle so much that he immediately put her in a match with a grizzly bear, Nia Jax.
That will teach her, said Angle.
However, this tiny bit of story may not be going anywhere. All signs point to Jordan having some heel tendencies. We can only guess whether Angle will be joining him down the path of the dark side, but a nefarious girlfriend would be a great way to start this.
Kurt Angle’s son will not date a whor— eh, jobber. This has strife written all over it.
WWE is Serious About the Drifter
I wasn’t sure at first, but last night WWE was clearly protecting him. Bray Wyatt could have swooped in after Finn Balor won and would have created the same amount of chaos. But WWE made sure Elias Sampson pinned Finn Balor.

Already one of WWE’s best mid-card acts, Sampson may be in for a little push. Unfortunately for him it comes at a busy time and chances are he won;t have a SummerSlam match of significance.
But if Honkey Tonk Man can be the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time, the surely WWE can do something cool with The Drifter.
