Heading into Halloween, things are only getting stranger.
On Tuesday morning, Netflix officially unveiled a new poster for its hit sci-fi series Stranger Things, as well as a short teaser video with the first official Season 2 release date.

To this point, the release date had just been listed as Halloween, but this video confirms that the 9-episode second season of Stranger Things will hit Netflix on October 27.
Stranger Things Creators Reveal Sean Astin’s Role
The poster is incredibly ominous, and it teases the young kids of the series facing a danger far greater than the demigorgon of Season 1.
Monsters aren’t the only things getting bigger in the second installment, as the cast of the series has grown significantly. Noah Schnapp and Joe Keery, who played Will Byers and Steve Harrington respectively, will have much larger roles in Season 2.

Netflix has also added the talents of Sean Astin, Dacre Montgomery, Sadie Sink, Paul Reiser, Will Chase and Linnea Berthelsen to the line-up in the next installment.
The entire first season of Stranger Things is currently streaming on Netflix. You’ve got until October 27 to binge it all again, and prepare yourselves for Season 2.
