'Once Upon a Time' Season 7 Lands Premiere Date

Once Upon a Time has revealed its Season 7 premiere date after a series of major change-ups for the show, TV Line reports.

The ABC fairytale drama will return on Oct. 6, as revealed during Comic-Con, first leading into Marvel's Inhumans on Friday nights before Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. makes its return.

After the exits of Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Emilie de Ravin, Rebecca Mader and Jennifer Morrison, who will return for one episode as Emma, the show will focus on adult Henry Mills (Andrew J. West), his daughter Lucy (Alison Fernandez), Regina (Lana Parrilla), Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) and Rumple (Robert Carlyle).

Actors Gabrielle Anwar, Adelaide Kane, Dania Ramirez, Mekia Cox and Rose Reynolds will also join the cast, Entertainment Weekly previously reported, with Anwar and Ramirez appearing as series regulars while the other three roles will be recurring.

EW reports that ABC had this to say about the upcoming season:

"After six seasons, the residents of the enchanted forest face their greatest challenge yet as The Evil Queen, Captain Hook and Rumplestiltskin join forces with a grown up Henry Mills and his daughter Lucy on an epic quest to once again bring hope to their world and ours. Along the way, new fairy tale characters and old search for true love, find adventure and once again take sides in the struggle of good against evil, as classic tales are once more twisted and reimagined."


Once Upon a Time will air Fridays at 8 p.m. ET this fall, with more information likely arriving during the show's Comic-Con panel this Saturday at 10 am PT.
