WARNING: Major Spoilers ahead for Season 7 of Game of Thrones! Continue reading at your own risk…

It seems like just yesterday, the seventh season of Game of Thrones was getting ready to premiere, and now it’s already almost over. It seems like time is moving even faster in the real world than it is in Westeros this season.

While this installment of the series only consisted of seven episodes, they were all packed with enough and action and surprising reveals to last an entire year. Honestly, it’s a lot to keep up with in such a short amount of time.

Unless you’ve watched every episode a couple of times (We’re not putting it past you) you may have a little bit of confusion heading into this finale. Not to worry though, that’s where we come in.

From a story standpoint, here’s everything you need to know about “The Dragon and the Wolf”:

The Dragon and the Wolf

The title of this episode is teasing a major storyline, it’s just hard to tell which one it’s going to be.

The easy guess here is that the dragon and the wolf being referred to are Daenerys and Jon Snow. They are the heads of the army, and the houses they grew up in bear those symbols. Although they’re secretly related, many have theorized that this title means the two will actually get together in the episode. It could also just mean they are now leading the war against the white walkers together.

Others believe that the title is referring to a different Targaryen and a different Stark altogether. “The Dragon and the Wolf” could possibly refer to Rhaegarย Targaryenย and Lyannaย Stark, the parents of Jon Snow.

If this is the case, expect to see their story unfold in the finale, proving once and for all that Jon is actually the heir to the Iron Throne.

As much as Game of Thrones has packed into this season, don’t be surprised if both of these storylines play out.

The Meeting

The whole point behind Jon’s mission beyond the wall last week was to capture a wight so that they could all prove to Cerseiย that the threat of the Night King was real. Now that they’ve done that, it’s time to meet the queen.

For the first time, the biggest players in Westerosย will all be in the same place. Cerseiย and Jaime are hosting the shindig, having invited several leaders from different places. We saw Sansa get a raven asking her to come down to King’s Landing, but she sent Brienne in her place.

Jon Snow, Daenerys, and Tyrion will all be coming in on one of their boats, trying their best to convince Cerseiย that they need to stop fighting one another.

This scene will provide a couple of major reunions that fans have been waiting for. If The Hound is with Jon, then he will be face-to-face with his brother The Mountain for the first time in a long time. This also means that Cerseiย will see Tyrionย again, and there’s no way that ends without some conflict.

If Daenerysย is bringing all of her closest allies, it’s tough to think that Cerseiย won’t do the same. This should be the first time we’ve seen Euronย since the beginning of the season.

Sansa and Arya

Ever since Aryaย returned to Winterfell, she and Sansa have had a hard time seeing eye-to-eye. Sansaย thinks that Aryaย has gotten a little dangerous, and Aryaย doesn’t know if she can trust her older sister.ย

Because of the growing rift between the two, they’ve began hunting each other around Winterfell. Meanwhile, Littlefinger is pulling the strings behind the scenes, trying to make sure Aryaย and Sansaย can never make peace with one another.

After Sansaย found Arya’sย creepy bag of faces last week, things are sure to come to a head in the season finale.

If Littlefingerย prevails, one of the two sisters will likely kill the other, but we’re hoping that the Starksย are strong than that. Some believe that the sisters already know what Littlefingerย is doing and they’re setting a trap to catch him in the act.

That Ice Dragon Though…

The biggest shock of last week’s episode came in the final moments, as the Night King turned Viserionย into an Ice Dragon. If you started panicking during that scene, you had every reason to.

Now the Night King can go toe-to-toe with Daenerys and her armies, making him the biggest threat the world has ever seen. However, what’s even more important is that the White Walkers now have a way into Westeros.

Whether they fly the dragon over the wall, or use it to break through, the south isn’t going to be safe for very long.

Prepare to see the Night King attack Westerosย before the season comes to an end.
