Sources close to HBO claim that the breach was caused by a distribution partner called Star India. Throughout the leaked episode, the company’s logo appears watermarked over the picture.

A Star India spokesperson confirmed the leak in a statement.

“This confirms the compromise of episode 4 of Game of Thrones season 7, earlier this afternoon,” the spokesperson said. “We take this breach very seriously and have immediately initiated forensic investigations at our and the technology partner’s end to swiftly determine the cause. This is a grave issue and we are taking appropriate legal remedial action.”

This isn’t the first time that Game of Thrones has fallen victim to episodes leaking early. The first four episodes of season 5 were released on the Internet after screeners of the episodes were sent out to the press.

Next Sunday’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Is the Shortest Episode Ever

This Sunday’s upcoming episode of Game of Thronesย marks a new record for theย franchise. “The Spoils of War”ย will be clocking in as the shortest episode in the history of the HBO drama.

The fourth episode has an official running time of 50 minutes, which sets a brevity record by about a minute for the series, according to EW.

The previous three episodes of seasonย 7 each lasted around an hour, or even a few minutes over. Fortunately, the fans don’t need to worry because next week’s episode is set to jump back to a 59-minute running time.

Season 7 may be featuring the shortest episode ever in the show’s history, but it also will feature the longest.

“One [episode] will be our longest episode ever โ€” it’s coming in around 90 minutes,” showrunner David Benioff said before Season 7 began. “Another is going to be our shortest episode at 50 minutes.”

The longest episode of past seasons of GOT was the Season 6 finale, “The Winds of Winter,” which had a running time of 69 minutes.

‘Game of Thrones’ Reveals First Photos of Episode 4: “The Spoils of War”

WARNING: Spoilers ahead for the latest episode of Game of Thrones. Read ahead at your own risk…

HBO has unveiled a look at the first photos fromย “The Spoils of War,” and a number of the key players can be seen planning their next moves.

One menacing photo shows Queenย Cersei standing over that enormous map. However, arguably the most worrisome image is the one ofย Sansaย Stark. One mightย have imagined that she wouldย have been feeling a little happier after finally being reunited with one of her long lost family members.

Several of the photosย showย Daenerys, whoย has her closest allies on either side of her. She appears to be concerned after possibly discussing bad news.

Unfortunately, judging by one of the other snaps, it appears as if Kit Harington’sย Jon Snow is already departingย Dragonstone.

Check out all ten of the new photos here.

While Jon and Dany didn’t exactly get along swimmingly in their first meeting, one GOT star thinks it went as well as can be expected.

‘Game of Thrones’ Star Dishes on Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen’s First Meeting

In the third episode of Season 7,ย Game of Thrones fans were finally given the special moment they have been waiting for โ€” Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen in the same room.

The interaction between the two leaders wasn’t exactly the friendliest opening conversation but, Conlethย Hill, who portrays Lord Varysย on the series,ย thinks that it could have gone much worse.ย

Whileย talking withย Variety, Hill offered the opinion that that Jon and Dany handled themselves much better than some may have expected.

“They’re both headstrong kids,” he said. “They’ve been the leader of their own pack for so long, and there’s, of course, a history of bad blood between their families. But they managed not to kill each other.”

Hill continued by asserting that there was one particular detail that kept all the tension from flaring.

“It was ice and fire really. I think Tyrion’s temperature control helped a lot. I don’t think it went as badly as it could have. Had their character’s met earlier, they might have pulled a knife or had a fight. I think they’re just getting to the stage now where the future of the world is more important than any ego trip they might have had,” he said.

Be sure to tune into theย next episode ofย Game ofย Thronesย on Sunday at 9/8c onย HBO.
