‘Chicago’ Fans React to the Franchise’s Big Announcement

NBC is taking fans on a trip back to Chicago this fall, with Chicago Fire, P.D. and Med all set to return. To make it even more exciting, the network has announced that there is all new merchandise available for fans to buy so they can proudly display their love for the Chicago franchise.

Chi-Hards can now buy a collection of different products, ranging from coffee mugs to t-shirts to posters. There is merchandise in both men’s and women’s sizes, and it’s safe to say that these items might not be available long judging by the fan reaction.

Leading up to the reveal of new merchandise, NBC was teasing a massive announcement that was sure to get the fans excited. In order to build hype around the situation, the network kept the announcement a secret until Monday morning. Now that the fans finally know the answer to the secret, they could not be more excited.

Yuri Sardarov, who stars as Otis on the series, has shared a cryptic image from the upcoming premiere. The actor gave fans a look at the script for Chicago Fire‘s next episode. It’s a simple image, but it speaks volumes.

The front page of the script shows that the premiere is titled “It Wasn’t Enough,” teasing that there will definitely be a death in the episode.

Sardarov makes things seem even more exciting with his caption, writing that the episode is “a doozy.”

NBC Boss Explains the ‘Chicago Justice’ Cancellation

NBC’s Chairman has finally opened up about the networks much-maligned decision to cancel Chicago Justice.

Ultimately, it seems that the un-cancellation of Timeless that lead the network to not renew the series.

“It was a hard scheduling week – Timeless went off the schedule because we couldn’t find a good place for it and then we brought that back,” Robert Greenblatt told Deadline.

“It just became somewhat of a real estate issue and just looking at how many of these Chicago shows we can sustain, we thought they are all good but it seemed like Justice was the most conventional,” he continued.

Jon Seda Returning to Chicago P.D.

There’s some great news ahead for Chicago P.D. fans.

Although many may still be mourning Sophia Bush’s exit from the series, fans can start rejoicing for a former star’s return.

Jon Seda is returning to the force after leaving the series to join Chicago Justice, which was canceled after one season.

“It’s a pleasure to have Jon back on Chicago P.D.,” executive producer Dick Wolf said in a statement. “We have been working together for more than 20 years and I hope there are many more to come.”
