There is some great news ahead for Chicago P.D. fans.

Although many may still be mourning Sophia Bush's exit from the series, fans can start rejoicing for a former star's return.

Jon Seda is returning to the force after leaving the series to join Chicago Justice, which was canceled after one season.

"It's a pleasure to have Jon back on Chicago P.D.," executive producer Dick Wolf said in a statement. "We have been working together for more than 20 years and I hope there are many more to come."

The One Chicago franchise debuted Seda's character, Antonio Dawson, in the early days of Chicago Fire. He went on to become a series regular on P.D. when it premiered in 2014.

At the beginning of 2017, Dawson was offered a job as an investigator for the city's Special Prosecutions Bureau, which meant he had to leave his Intelligence Division.

Chicago Justice was canceled in May, leaving fans desperate for answers about Seda's future with the franchise.

Chicago P.D.'s fifth season premieres on September 27 on NBC.
