'Grey's Anatomy' Exec Reveals Whether Fan Favorite Sara Ramirez Will Return to Season 14

Sara Ramirez left Grey's Anatomy after Season 12, but fans are still holding out hope that her character, Callie Torres, might return to the ABC drama for a reappearance. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like that will happen during the upcoming Season 14.

Executive producer Debbie Allen told TV Line that "there are no plans at the moment" for Callie to return to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

She added, "We love her and we miss her, [but] there's been no discussion of it."

"I'm deeply grateful to have spent the last 10 years with my family at Grey's Anatomy and ABC, but for now, I'm taking some welcome time off," Ramirez said at the time of her exit. "[Series creator] Shonda [Rhimes has] been so incredible to work for, and we will definitely continue our conversations."

As far as Callie's former flame, Arizona (Jessica Capshaw), her most recent love interest, Eliza Minnick (Marika Dominczyk), won't return for Season 14 after she was fired by Bailey.

Allen said that the couple's split "is going to be addressed" in the season premiere.

"It's very interesting how we address it," she added.

Grey's Anatomy returns with a two-hour premiere on Sept. 28.
