Newborn twins and their 1-year-old sister have been orphaned after a series of tragic events that claimed the lives of both of their parents.
On July 11, the father of the three children, 26-year-old Jevaughn Suckoo, was shot and killed at his West Palm Beach apartment complex, the Associated Press reported.

As his funeral service was being held three days later, Suckoo’s girlfriend, Stephanie Caceres, passed away after giving birth to their twins Jevaughn Jr. and Lailah. In the ten days leading up to delivering her twins, Caceres had been in the intensive care unit. Her death was caused by an infection from her Cesarean section.
Suckoo and Caceres lived together with their daughter.
For Suckoo, his death was ruled as a homicide. The assailants who shot him are still unknown, according to People.
Caceres, 27, was employed at the office of the Juan E. Batista Pediatrics in Lake Clarke shores for four years.

“We’re just trying to figure out how to move forward from here,” Suckoo’s aunt, Joni Saunders said.
Lina Niemczyk, Caceres’s manager, set up a GoFundMe page for the children. Since being posted, over $33,000 has already been raised of its $50,000 goal.
Niemzyk says that the funds raised will go towards health, education, maintenance, and support for the children. The money will go towards a trust that will be managed according to state and federal law by trustees, guardians, or the children’s adoptive grandparents.
“Thankfully Stephanie and Jevaughn were raised by a beautiful family that have accepted the challenge set forth by God,” she wrote. “The grandparents are going to start over, now raising their grandchildren.”
