Netflix is making the dreams of crime TV fans come true this week, after releasing the first trailer for its highly-anticipated FBI drama, Mindhunter.

From acclaimed director David Fincher (Fight Club, Zodiac), Mindhunter tells the story of two FBI agents in the late 1970s as they try to tap into the minds of imprisoned serial killers.

The series is based on the book Mind Hunter: Inside FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit, written by Mark Olshaker and John E. Douglas. Jonathon Groff (Frozen, Looking) will be playing Holden Ford, a fictional character based on Douglas.

Opposite Graff, Holt McCallany (Fight Club, Lights Out) will be playing agent Bill Tench, a character based on Robert K. Ressler.

Mindhunter also stars Anna Torv, Hannah Gross, and Cotter Smith.

David Fincher will executive produce the series alongside Charlize Theron, Joshua Donen, and Cean Chaffin. Fincher will also serve as one of the directors.

While the first season of Mindhunter has yet to debut, Netflix has already ordered a second season of the series.

All of Season 1 will debut on the streaming service on October 13.
