Things are getting awkward as Whitney Way Thore’s 39th birthday party goes off the rails in a PopCulture.com exclusive sneak peek of Tuesday’s all-new episode of My Big Fat Fabulous Life. As the TLC star celebrates the end of her 30s with a pool party and tacos, her close friend Todd Beasley raises a stink when he’s told that his recent birthday didn’t make him a co-chair of the celebration.
Todd’s feelings first bubble up when Whitney attempts to hand him a plate of what seems to be tacos.ย “On my birthday you’re gonna give me a food that I have literally never had a single one in my…” he complains, as Whitney interjects, “It’s my birthday! Did you think this was your birthday?” Todd clarifies, “It is my birthday,” as Whitney wonders, “What is happening?”

Todd’s cousin clarifies that he did actually have a birthday shortly after Whitney’s, making his big day technically closer to the party than hers. “I mean I know that you also had a birthday,” Whitney tells Todd. “But this was my birthday party.” He asks, “Why would we have just a your birthday party when my birthday is the next day?”
As the bickering begins to escalate, Whitney’s ex and bestie Lennie Alehat explains to the camera, “Whitney really hasn’t celebrated many of her birthdays because something always goes wrong. Today of course, after not celebrating her birthday for years, Hurricane Todd comes through. I guess he thought this birthday was also gonna be his. … I think he probably should have spoken sooner to her about this before she planned every single part of it.”
Todd then claims that Whitney told him she would be planning their joint birthday party, which she doesn’t remember saying, despite her willingness to share the celebration.”You saying you don’t remember is not making it better, it’s making it worse,” Todd says with exasperation, pointing out that “nothing” has been planned for him and that he wasn’t allowed to invite guests, while Whitney was.
“Todd’s coming in hot today,” Whitney says. “Todd’s coming into the birthday party looking for a fight.” Todd insists, “I wasn’t looking for one, one found me.” Grabbing his things and storming out of the party as a volleyball game begins, Todd pouts, “So I can’t even eat the food at my own birthday. I can’t do the activity, I can’t eat the food. This is horrible.” When begged not to go, he responds, “I mean, this wasn’t meant for me anyway, so it didn’t matter.” Dumbfounded by what just went down, Whitney declares, “This is so stupid.”ย My Big Fat Fabulous Life airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
