"We're so happy and thankful to announce that we're expecting a baby!" Duggar said. "Every child is such a precious gift from God. I'm most looking forward to watching Austin as a dad and raising children together with him."
Duggar and her husband, Austin Forsyth, first met when Forsyth's family moved to Arkansas and began attending the same church as the Duggar family. After a quick courtship and a three-month-long engagement, the couple wed in Rogers, Arkansas, in front of a full church of more than 1,000 family and friends.
After the two tied the knot, they set off to Geneva, Switzerland for a honeymoon packed with traveling.
Now the couple is settled into their home in Arkansas, near the rest of the Duggar clan, and are excited to move forward with the next stage.
"I have a lot of good memories of my mom teaching us and the quality time we spent together, and I'm really looking forward to doing that with my own children. It's such an amazing thing to be a parent and raise children," Duggar said.
"I'm really looking forward to the journey of this pregnancy and all the different stages it will bring," Forsyth said. "It's really exciting and I feel so blessed to be a dad! We are beyond thankful!"
As for whether their family will grow as big as the Duggars? That's up to God, they said.
"We want as many as the Lord thinks we can handle," Duggar added. "And we are putting it into his hands."
